About Paul

“If you are in a spaceship that is traveling at the speed of light, and you turn on the headlights, does anything happen?” - Steven Wright

I have always been sensitive to light, even as a kid. Maybe because I was always moving, and so did the light. It was dynamic and kinetic, like me. I guess that’s why I’ve been chasing it in my professional life as a photographer. I’ve been in the business for over 30 years, working with an array of clients that include corporate giants like IBM and American Express, elite design publications such Interior Design Magazine, a multitude of product manufacturers, and a cross section of portraits from designers, architects, artists, and other interesting human beings. I seek out opportunities to produce images anywhere I can create and shape light, or find it naturally at the right moment. Three words that define me: movement, grow, and create.

I live in NYC with my wife and two kids (who want a dog). I’m always on the move with them, and on my jobs. I gave up on keeping a studio in the city (too much working for the landlord) and now come to my clients wherever they may be. I’ve gotten pretty efficient at it, setting up the makings of my “spaceship” studio, traveling at the speed of light. Whatever planet I land on, I’ll be there to tell a story through photography. I welcome your product, people, or environments to turn on the headlights and create. Yes, join me in my spaceship for hire and I guarantee you … something will happen!

If you don’t like the spaceship analogy, how about:

“I’m so fast that last night I turned off the light switch in my hotel room and was in bed before the room was dark.” - Muhammad Ali

Clearly I entertain options and ideas, which invite a cooperative working relationship with my clients.

Here’s to making things happen together…

Paul
